PARKING

Pay a parking ticket 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at https://www.tocite.net/portjeff/portal

If you would like to dispute a parking ticket online, go to https://www.tocite.net/portjeff/portal.  Once you enter your ticket number or license plate, you will see a “Dispute” button on the right-hand side. This allows you to electronically submit an explanation and/or documentation for review. You will not receive any late fees during this review process and will receive mail once a decision has been reached.

If you would prefer to speak to the prosecutor in person, please request a court date by emailing ekidney@portjeff.com or calling 631-473-8382.

 

TRAFFIC TICKETS & OTHER FINES

If you have a Vehicle and Traffic Ticket, Village Ordinance Ticket, or a Building Violation Ticket, you must come to court prior to making a payment. If you are unsure when your case is scheduled, please contact the Court Office (see top of page for details). After you have been to court, you may pay @ www.GovPayNow.com or (888) 604-7888, 24 hours 7 days a week.

PAY LOCATION CODE for govpaynow.com is 8970 for Judge Reilly and a00368 for Judge Higgins.  Please make payments to the PLC of the judge who heard your case in court. If you are unsure which judge was present, please call the Court Office to verify.

Court Protocols

Please make certain you are scheduled on the calendar to appear in court or your case will not be heard.
 
The Court will be following all protocols issued by the District Administrative Judge. Please call to reschedule your appearance if you are experiencing flu like symptoms, test positive for COVID within five days of your appearance date, or have been directed to isolate or self-monitor at home by any health professional. You will be required to wear a mask in the courthouse if you have recovered from COVID within the five days prior to your appearance or have had close contact with a person testing positive for COVID within the ten days prior.
 
Cell phones and inappropriate clothing (including shorts, ripped jeans, hats, etc.) are not allowed in the courtroom. If you have evidence that you would like to present to the prosecutor on your phone, please bring paper copies.
