NOTICE OF OPEN EMPLOYMENT POSITION – RECREATION AIDE

The Village of Port Jefferson is accepting applications and/or resumes for the open position of Recreation Aide within the Recreation Department.

The Recreation Aide position is a full-time (32.5 hours per week, from 9:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.) position.

The position days will be either Mon – Fri or Wed – Sun.

This is a year-round position, starting at an hourly salary of $ 19.00 – $ 24.20 per hour, commensurate with experience, with all applicable insurance and other benefits detailed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement currently in force between the Village of Port Jefferson and CSEA Local 1000.

The Recreation Aide position is also a Civil Service position, and the standard twenty-six week Civil Service probationary period applies.
