Description The steel-hulled ferry CATSKILL, which sailed between Port Jefferson and Bridgeport, Connecticut, 1946-67, is icebound in Port Jefferson harbor. When her days on Long Island Sound were over, the CATSKILL passed through several owners, was gutted in a fire, abandoned in Jamaica Bay, and finally scrapped in 1975.
